Gunther Maverick
Dr. Maverick used to ride serious Mountain Biking in the early 90s. Now, fully devoted to his career is mostly doing...well, very little, but having some light fun. The Malin to Mizen (M2M) Adventure is a true challenge for his fitness and mental strength after so many years of less activity.
He had to serve his country for a year as a doorman and handy person for the Culture Extension to the Spanish Embassy in Ireland and there he read all that there is about the Spanish Armada: from stock accounts on the ships to the inner stories on board the sinking vessels and the slaughtering of the spaniards in the irish shores. He is also a Coastal Geomorphologist and, above all, he rides a vintage 1992 Kona Hei Hei.

Dr. Renko
Renko is a High Energy Particle Physicist: yes, there is such a profession and it's not out of sci-fy movies. Dr. Renko he is a well published global player in the discipline. The use of a nuclear physicist in the team may be debatable but it's not related just the potential use of his knowledge...but his experience in adventure travel. Not only he's climbed the Kilimanjaro, cross country skied the Alps or walked the Patagonian glaciers, he is a very serious support to our mentality drive. The structuring and robustness of his plans is an asset for the team. We will enjoy also his tales of the search for neutrinos...
Captain Cuellar
Captain Cuellar (the Captain!) is a member of the "Protect and Serve" profession and he's role in the team is perhaps one of the key ones: he has performed in (literally) hundreds of triathlon events. He is a scholar of training and a professional trainer for spinning and other aerobic fitness disciplines. As well as that his experience in world wide adventure has taken him to compete, as a professional, in Cabo Verde in Kite Surfing, in various Iron Man events and is currently the Spanish Sub-Champion in Mountain Bike in his category. The Captain (family relation of the famous Francisco de Cuellar -see next pages-) has a tremendous will for adventure riding and great orientation skills: we enjoyed also his approach to high tech equipment...One bag of peanuts and 1/2 a liter of water should be enough in his view for the M2M "sunday stroll" .
